An official message from Berlin states: "The enemy's seaplanes yesterday attacked our East Fresian ports and islands, without result." MARGATE VISITED. London, October 23. Official: A German aeroplane appeared over Margate to-day, dropped three bombs on Cliftonville and wounded a man and a woman, and damaged a hotel. British aeroplanes pursued the raider. REPRISAL RAIDS IN GERMAN TOWNS. Zurich, October 23. There is a panic in the west German towns at the possibility of air reprisals. Lighting restrictions are in force in Munich, Strassburg, and Cologne- A nightly service, imploring the Divine protection against the "barbarous enemy," is held at Karlsruhe. A GERMAN REPORT DENIED (Rec. October 24, 5.5 p.m.) London, October 23. The Admiralty denies an official statement from Berlin that a British destroyer was bombed off Flanders. ZEPPELIN DROPS A BOMB UPON HOLLAND AIRSHIP FIRED ON. j (Rec. October 24, 5.5 p.m.) Amsterdam, October 23. A Zeppelin, when flying over Holland, dropped a bomb on Gorinchem. Dutch soldiere fired on the airship. REGIMENTS OP IMPERIAL GUARDS COMPOSED OF OVERSEA TROOPS. Australian-New Zealand Cable Association. (Rec: October 25, 0.35 a.m.} 1 London, October 24. The "Daily Express" advocates the formation of regiments of Imperail Guards, consisting of Oversea Dominion troops. Sir Joseph Ward, in an interveiw, said that the idea had much to recommend it. As an imperialistic conception it would serve to focus people's mtndfl upon Empire a'ffairs, and would be productive of goodj if the Guards wore fcrmed without weakening the individuality of the various separato divisions from the Overseas Dominions.
