MINISTER'S SUGGESTED SCHEME. By Telegraph—Press Association. ,„, Dunedin, October 23. the Minister of Health lias submitted to tho Plunkct Society a echcino for nationalisation of tho society's work. Ho proposes an organisation for each provincial district, called provincial unions, with tho powor of recommendation to a Dominion Executive. These unions will meet yearly, and upon them will be placed tho responsibility of extending the society's work within tho provinces. From the unions will be elected tho Dominion Council, to meet annually, and to bo located in Dunedin. Its constitution will be two delegates from each of the large four centres, with ono delegate each from Southland, Westland, . Nelson, Marlborough, Hawke's Bay, and Tarauaki. The Dominion Esecutivo will bo given power-to subdivide the provincial districts. Provision is made for encouragement of the establishment in three other centres of institutions similar to tho Dunedin Knritano Home. Tho Minister, in connection with tho scheme for extending accommodation for consumptive soldiers in tho different provinces, proposes to acquire land for the light employment of convalescents on lines already adopted_ at tho WaikatD institution, the idea being to fit them for rural occupations after discharge.
