KING CONSTANTINES'S LATEST
DEMANDS BY THE ALLIES
AUSTRIAN TRAGEDY
THE MURDER OF COUNT STUERGKH.
GRAVE RIOTS IN VIENNA
In the Western theatre the Franco-British forces are consolidating their gains, and with terrible destructiveness, dealing with furious counter-attacks by the Germanß. Sailly Saillisel in particular has been the object of the extremely stubborn attacks by the Germans, whose losses on this sector have been desperate. There are no material developments on the Italian front, & n d no news from the Russian Eastern front. The enemy is apparently reinforoing his attack in the Dobrudja, where the Rumanians and the Russians are carrying out a. fe'tiring movement under difficulties created by adverse weather. There are no developments of importance on the Allies' front in the Balkans. The Italian forces operating from the Albanian side are under 40 miles from Monastir, and have linked up with their Allies. Austria just now is in a turmoil over the assassination of Count Stuergkh, the Austrian Premier, the full story of which is told in various despatches. Serious mob outbreaks have occurred in Vienna, and the general opinion held by outsiders is that the assassination of the Premier indicates a very serious undercurrent of disaffection. Montenegro and Herzegovina have risen against the Austrian usurpers of their territory, and seem to have made an effective beginning.
