SAILING VESSELS EXPECTED. An expected arrival in Auckland is tho American sailer Andy Mahony, -with a hold cargo of case oil and a deck cargo of lumber, from Ban Francisco. Tho Andy Mahony is at present 60 days out from her port of departure. _ Tic fourmaster barque Golden Gato is W daya out from San Francisco, on her Toyage to Auckland. She is expected to arrive /tbout tho end of this week. J*ero are also tho schooners Defiance and Honoipu, which aro on their way back to Puget Sound and Columbia River from Australia, to load for Wellington and Lyttelton respectively, and in addition to these there aro a number of. sailers whoso movements arc not availablo for publication yet.
THE MJOKEMBACH LIKE. Further news of the Luckenbach Lino, which has established a line of cargo steamers between Now York and New Zealand and Australian ports, has come to hand from tho representative of the line, who is at present arranging agencies, otc, for his lino in tho Dominion. Jtis now' probablo thot Hobart will bo included In tho ports of call. Mr. Ebcy,
who is at present touring the South Island, said that it had definitely neon fixed that the vessels should call at Hobart, and that Messrs. A. G. Webster and Sons, Ltd., would be the Hobart agents for the line. He said that the number ot vessels calling at Hobart would depend on tho amount of trade offering. Every other one ot the monthly steamers would call at the beginning to see how things went. In reference to loading for the voyage back to America, Mr. Ebey said that at present tho.vessels would bring cargo to New Zealand ports and Hobart, but would load only at Melbourne and Sydney. SYDNEY BOAT. This week's Sydney hoat-tlic Manukawill, according to advice received yesterday, orrivo in port at 11 a.m. to-day. She may be late, however, on account of tho heavy gales yesterday. The vessel has 1000 'tons of cargo for Wellington, and also 105 saloon and 28 steerage passengers, and will berth at No. 6 Queen's Wharf. BLACKBALL BOATS. The Ngatoro, which arrived in port ou Saturday afternoon, managed to get discnargicd Ithat da>. and consequently is working to-day in order to get away for Napier to-night to finish discharging. The Ngakuta, which also arrived in port late on Saturday is to leave for Greymouth on Thnrsdooi. PATEENA LATE. The Patecna, Saturday night's ferry boat, which left hero at 7.50 o'clock on Saturday night, did not reach Lyttelton until 5.10 p.m. yesterday. The vessel encountered the heavy south-westerly galo which was blowing yesterday, and thus arrived at Lyttelton about nine hours late. It was stated that tho passengers on tho Mararoa had an uncomfortable time on her Thursday night's trip, when she was 6ix hours late.
The Blenheim, which has been undergoing overhaul on the Patent 'Slip, is to leave for Blenheim to-morrow at 7 p.m. ■ The departure of tho Kara has been postponed! and she is now scheduled to leave for Now Plymouth to-morrow. She will reccivo cargo up till 10.30 a.m. that day. Tho Karori is not now coming to Wellington, but instead will go to Port Chalmers.
Messrs. Hatrick and Co.'a Tainui is at present being .overhauled, and will not got down hero from Waitara until tho end of tho month. ( Tho scow Arrah-no-Pogue is evidently out to make a name for herself for lengthy passages. ' Recently on a trip from Wellington to Hokianga tho vessel occupied nearly as much. timo. as any smart sailer would occupy in.coming from San Franoisco to Wellington, and now she is three weeks out from Hokianga to Auckland with a cargo of timber, and aB yet thero is no sign of her. At Auckland the soow is to dock for cleaning.
The Union Company's Kaitangata is expected at Lyttelton towards the end of this week from Bdithburg, Western Australia; with a cargo of gypsum and salt. Sho will afterwards como on to Wellington, and will proceed from hero to Napier. Captain Johnson, of Timaru, who nav\f fated the. steamer Pctonc to Melbourne, las returned to Now Zealand.
Tho 1500 ; ton steamer Joan Craig arrived in Wanganni from Newcastle at 4' p.m. on Friday, after a run of sir and a half days from the Now South Wales port.
Tho Kaitoa left Nelson on Saturday at 10.50. a.m. for Wanganui, via Torakohe, with a load of cement. Sho will not come into Wellington, and on returning to Nelson will go into dock for overhaul and structural alterations.
Advico by telegram on Saturday from Wnnganui stated that the Kapuni was sheltering there. No word has been received as to her having loft the port. She is on her way to Tatea.
