MILITARY SUPPLIES
JUVENILE WORKERS,
The Hon. Arthur N. Myers, Minister in Charge of Munitions and Supplies, arranged in August last with tue Director, Wellington Technical Associated Classes, (Mr. W. L. La Trobe), for the supply of 20,000 tent buttons ou the terms that the' Government was to provide the necessary material, while the Technical School offered to undertake gratuitously the work connected with manufacture. The work undertaken having been performed, and the supply duly delivered to the satisfaction of. the military authorities, Bfcha Hon. Minister has expressed his thanks to the Director in- the following letter :— "The Secretary, "Wellington Technical Education Board, "Wellington. "Dear Sir, — Re Tent Buttons. "It is reported to me that you hava successfully completed order which you kindly undertook to execute in connection with the above. "Pleaso accept my thanks for the manner in which this matter was taken up by you and your staff. Will you also kindly convey to your pupils my appreciation of the work they have performed. ,"It is a matter of satisfaction to know that your pupils, in taking up this work, were actuated by patriotic motives, and thus at an early age have taken upon themselves "some responsibility of recognising their obligations of citizenship.
