T. Moore, C. M. Luke, G. Nasli, G. J. Pethorick, J. Smith, W. H. Thompson, Di\ PlattsMills, Mesdames D. M'Laren, T. M. Wilford, A. M'Vicar, Rev. Dr. J. K. Elliott.

Messrs. Baldwin, Luke, and Smith wore appointed a Isnb-eommittee to draft a testimonial for presentation to Miss Payne, ex-matron.

Messrs. Baldwin, Luko, and Smith were appointed a sub-committee to go into the auostion of providing fresh accommodation for the matron, female domestic staff, sewing maids, etc., and the whole wing at present so occupied is to be utilised for additional wards.

The resignations oF Dr. Baxter, house surgeon, Senior. Nurse T. Foster, and Mrs. Stewart, head laundress, were accepted with regret. Payment at the rato of £75 per annum each is to bo made to Misses Clarke, Norris, and Salter for their full services as masseuses from December 1 until further notice, and a detailed roturn is to be furnislicd showing the number of cases of infantile paralysis under treatment, fees received, etc.

Sister R. E. Bursill and Nurse V. Trott. whoso servicos have been accepted by the military authorities, were granted extended leave of absence.

The acting-matron was authorised to expend up to £80 for tho purchase of toys, • presents, and extras for the inmates of the Hospital and its institutions at Christmas.

Sister Ethel Lewis is taking up her duties as Native health nnrso on October 23, vice Nurse To. An resigned. It was reported that the new isolation ward at the Oliiro Homo is now fully competed, furnished, and ready for occupation. The chairman said tho want would be opened on Tuesday.
