A strange accident, which resulted in the death of a boy named Sydney -Thomas Thompson, the iivo-year-old son of Mr. A. S. Thompson, Waltham Road, Sydenham, ocaurred on Wal-t-ham Road. The child Thompson, with several other children, was playing near a cart from which packingcases were being unloaded. The driver of tho cart, with tho help of some other men, was shifting a largo case while a strong wind was blowing, and as tho case was lowered they told tho children to get out of the way. Tho •caso was let down, and they then found that Thompson was underneath it. Ho -diet! shortly afterwards.

A workman named O'Regan, engaged in building operations at Barraud and Abraham's, Ltd.. Featherston Street, yesterday, fell from a scaffold-, ing and'broko his leg. O'Regan was admitted to tho Hospital.
