"PETER PAN" BALLET
AT GEAND OPERA HOUSE TO NIGHT.
This evening, in the Grand Opera House, Miss Estelle Beere is producing Sir James Barrio's world-renowned child play, "l'oter Pail," in aid of the Countess of Liverpool's and the Bluo Cross Funds. The performance is to be repeated tomorrow, and also at a special matinee in the afternoon. A few of the features of "Peter 5 l'an" are: "The Torch Dance," "l?ed Skins," "The Call of the Wild," by .Indian Maid, "Shadow Dance" by "Peter," and "Tinker-bell," "Pillow Danee" by the Lost Boys, "Eccentric Dance anil Chorus" by Captain Hcolc and Pirates, "The Combat," Lost Boys and Pirates, song ""Wendy Wants a Little 'louse." In addition to "Peter Pan," a (.harming phantasy, entitled "Wild Flowers," is also being staged. Tho costumes are particularly beautiful, and some truly charming dances have been arranged." Among the many refined and poetical numbers in which dramatic and emotional expression is depicted, are: "The Dying Swan," "Belgium's Appeal," "Indian Temple Dance/' a charming song and dance, "My Little Dream Girl." Many other numbers, too numerous to mention, are included in tho programme. Special scenery has been brought over from Sydney for the production, and the whole is being mounted on a scale never yet attempted on tho amateur stago. A well-balanced orchestra under Mr. .T. F. Woodward, will also materially assist in making the production one of tho most successful of its kind over held in "Wellington. The Box Plan is now open at tho Bristol, where good booking is reported.
