According to present arrangements, the overhaul to tho Kaitoa will tako much longor than was at first anticipated. In addition to overhaul, the vessel is now to undergo considerable structural- alteration, mid it is proposed to make comfortable accommodation for twenty-two passengers, instead of tho twelve now carried. This will brine the Kaitoa more into lino with the Nikau as «■ passenger-carrier, and will fit lier better for the We/lington-Nelson-Motueka servico. Tho Nikau will carry on the service during tho timo tho Kaitoa is being refitted. SERVICE FROM JAPAN. Messrs. Burns.
