GOLD ORNAMENTS FOR THE NATION'S COFFERS. Australian-New Zealand Cable Association. Copenhagen, October 17. Seven offices have been opened in Berlin for the collection of gold ornaments for coining purposes. _ A thousand residents of Berlin deposited ornaments in exchange for notes on the opening day. The Crown Princess, Herr von Bethmann Hollweg, and the bankers are supporting the movoment. CHURCH BELLS MELTED DOWN. Paris, October 17. The German authorities have commandoered and melted 152 bells from the churches in Prajnio (the capital of Bohemia, in Austria).
