THE CRICKET SEASON
FIRST FIXTURES DRAWN. The Wellington Cricket Association met last evening. Thero were present: Messrs. M. J. Crombie (in the chair), G. F. Gibb (secretary), E. J. .Ward, V. B. AVillis (treasurer), F. J. O'Driscoll, J. D. Howitt, F. A. Midlane, and D. M'Kenzio.
The following additional entries of teams were received Senior: Old Boys and Petone; Junior: Old Boys and University; thirds: St.- Patrick's College.
The season is to be opened on Saturday, and the following are tho draws: Senior Grade, October 21 and 28. — Hutt and University, at Lower Hutt; Trentham and Boys' Institute, No. 1 Basin Reserve; Old Boys and North, No. 2 Basin Reserve'; Petono and East, at Petone.. November 4 and 11.—East and Old Boys, No. 1 Basin Reserve; University and .Boys' Institute, No. 2 Basin Reserve; North and .Petone, at Petone; Trentham and Hutt, at Lower ■Hiitt.
Junior Grade, October 21 and 28 — North and Trentham, No. 4 Basin Reserve; Base Records and University, No. 3 Basin Reserve; Wellington Colleze and Old Boys, at College Grounds; Marist Old Boys and Hutt, at Lower Hutt-.
