LIVE STOCK SALES
Messrs. Dalgcty and Co., Ltd., rcport:Wo held our weekly stock sale at Miller's Road yards, Dannevirko, ou Friday Our entry consisted of a good yarding of cattle only, some pens of, which were of good quality. There was keen competition for all stock offered, and though two pens, consisting. of 80 head of two-year Polled Angus and Hereford-cross steers, failed to reach vendors' reserves at auction, we succeeded in clearing all lines after tho sale at satisfactory prices. Wo quote as follows':—Three-year springing heifers, good, £11. to £14; two-year springing heifers, good, £10 to £11 155.; twoyear Polled Angus heifers, to £11 55.: two-' year Polled Angus-orOss steers, to £12 155.-two-year Hereford steers, to £12 155.; yearlings sold from £3 10s. to £5 17s. 6d. We al6o sold an Angora goat, donated by Mrs. A. Anderson, of Dannevirkc, proceeds to go to tho Bed Oross Fund. The goat was sold and .resold several times, and the fund will benefit to the-extent of £11 16s. by Mrs. Andorson's generosity.
