The exhibition, givon in this competition at last, show was particularly good and •well worth going a verv long way tot see. Owing to probability of an ferfcra attraction which has been proivided for People's Day, it i s unlikely 'that the proposed exhibition' by the ;pwze dogs on tho second day will take iplaoe. ... iAH who want to see the dogs 'go! through their, work should therelirire make a-point of being present on :the first flay,. ~*Gforieral entries received for tho tehbiv are again good in all classes, particularly &. purebred dairy cattle •and mifldttg classes. In sheep, South'downs, iincolns, Ronmoys are strong classes, and the..farmers' classes and 'fats are ..particularly numerous. The jcbmpetrtipns and horse classes' are not, quite'up ia the average, but draught' ' horses are stronger than usual.
Shearing commenced on a number of Wairarapa stations on. Monday.
A special stock-train left the Wairarapa on Monday morning, conveying a large number of'sheop and cattle to tie Hastings Show.
