BRITISH IN CLOSE TOUCH WITH ENEMY ON SEVENTEEN-MILE FRONT The High Commissioner reports:— . / London, October 13, 2.55 p.m. The British official report from Salonika says:—"On the Struma front we pushed our patrols from the Aerosenik-Topolova line to east of the railway. Our armoured cars reconnoitred the junction of the Seres-Demirhissar and Seres-Salonika roads. The enemy, who is holding the railway, was found in strength about Nishor. . SERBIANS CEASELESSLY HARASSING- THE BULGARS. f ("The Times.") , , London, October 13. Mr. Calvert, -writing from Ostrovo, states that from October 8 till. October 10 the Serbs have been ceaselessly harassing tho retreating enemy. Meanwhile the Second Army is steadily increasing its pressure against the positions still in the enemy's hand in the Moglena. Mountain. On October 9 and 10, the First and Second Armies again made progress against the enemy's third and last line on Cherna Riverj taking 800 prisoners.
