COMPULSORY REGISTRATION OF ORCHARDS
(To. the . Editor.) Sir,—Your article re the compulsory registration of orchards causcd nie to hurry along to the Agricultural Department, with a view to escaping the pains and penalties threatened- for non-compliance with the provisions of tho Act.' Judge of my surprise when I was informed by the clerk on duty that no forms were : available at present. This was on Monday last, and to the..best of ray belief no registration forms are even yet available. Would it iiot have been, more businesslike to have deferred the issue of the advertisements and Gazette-notices until registration forms are available?—. I am, etc., MINIATURE ORCHARDIST. Ngaio, October 13, 1910.
