Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their weekly sale lield at Levin on Tuesday. All stock cajno forward well over advertised numbers, and wo havo to report a most successful sale. Competition right throughout was .very keen, and we had practically a total clearance. All lines being eagerly sought after. Quotations:—Sheep: Pat woolly wethers, 38s. 4d., 38s. 6d., £2 Is. 6d., £2 4s. 9d., £2 65.; fat woolly ewes, 375. Id., 395. Id.; fat shorn wethers, 275. 9d.; forward wethers, 345. 3d., 355;; empty owes, 28s. lid.; good hoggets, 265. lid., 275. '3d.. 275. Bd.; small hoggets, 17s. 9d. to 215.; low-conditioned ewes and lambs, 345. 4d.; cull ewes,, 14s. 6d. Tho New Zealand. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report that at their Levin yards on Tuesday they submitted a ssjolt entry of Btud sheep and a full 3'arding of cattle to a good attendance of buyers, Sheep were neglected, but all classes of cattlo offered met with a keen demand; practically everything changed hands at prices in favour of vendors. They quote:—Medium fat cows, £9 2s. 6d. to £10; forward-condition cowb, £7 to £8 17s. 6d.; store cows, £5 7s. 6d. to £6 10s.: empty-two-year good-condition heifers, £5 to £6 125.; vealers, £2; heifers, r.w.b., £4 13s. to £5 25.; yearling heifers, £3 2s. to £4 45.; yearling steers, £5; eighteen-month bulls, £5 16s. to £10; spring heifers. £6 to £9 2s. 6d.; cows in milk, £7 to £10 2a. 6d.; weancr pigs, 18s. to 195.; fat porkers, 355. to" 425.
Moßsra. Dalgety and Company report haying held their monthly sale at Waibanae on Wednesday, when they offered a small yarding of sheep and cattle., In spite of rough weather, a "total clearance was made at Tery satisfactory prices. A nice even line of mixed-sox hoggets, offered on behalf of Mr. I. G. Duncan, fetched 30s. 4d. Other prices were:—Mixed-sex woolly hoggets, 265.; mixed yearlings, £2 9s. 6d.; yearling bulls, £4 35., £4 Es.; empty store heifers, £4 12s. to £5; springing heifers, to £7; cows in .milk, to £9 55.; light-weight fat cows, to £9 15s.
