*- - ARRANGEMENTS FOR SUNDAY NIGHT;. Preparations for the taking of tho census as for the night of Ootober 1516 are complete, and every possible precaution has been taken to facilitate the accurate filling up of tho schedules. "Read carefully, tho instructions", is the! advice given to householders and others who aro under an obligation to write correot replies to questions. A householder's schedule has to be filled up by the occupior or person in charge of each 'dwelling with particulars respecting all the persons who pass tho night of Sunday, October 15, on the premises. This schedule is also to include persons travelling or out at work during the night of tho loth (not included in any other schedule), who return to the dwelling on October 16... If the house is occupied by different families in separate stories or apartments, each division must be treated as a separate dwelling, of which tho occupier or person in charge must make a return upon a separate schedule. The sub-enumerator is also required to fill in a schedule for sach uninhabited dwelling in his district. In the case of large pastoral stations or other similar establishments, the proprietor or manager is to fill in a schedule in regard to the homestead, but an additional separate schedule must also be filled in for each of the'' out-stations, dwelling-houses, or but 3 in a which a distinct family or persons reside.

For the convenience of inmates of hotels, boardinghouses, clubs, ships, trains, otc, and to preserve ?s far as possible the confidential nature of the particulars supplied, a ''personal schedule" is provided for each individual. The person _ in charge of these establishments, ships, and trains is under an obligation to distribute the Sersonal schedule, and to take care to a've them filled up correctly. In the case of small hotels and other accommodation houses, with only one or two boarders, the ordinary householder's schedule is to bo used. The personal schedule is also to be used for inmates of military and internment camps, and on this schedule a special inquiry, is made as to the place of residence prior to enlistment, etc., so that inmates of such camps may, if necessary, be allocated to the districts to which, they belong.
