Thero was a large attendance at the entertainment givon in the Church Hall at Lyall Bay last evening by the pupils of Miss Betty Purdoni and Mr. Culford Bell, in aid of the Richmond Free.Kindergartens. The varied programme which was presented was much appreciated, particularly the two playlets, "The Birthday Party" and "Pairy ■ Silver Star.-" Songs, recitations, monologues, l duologues, etc., wore interspersed through-, ant,- and the performances showed that the pupils had bonefited greatly by their tuition. Various tributes wero received by the performers, aud a vote of thanks to Miss Purdoni and Mr. Cnlford Bell as well as to'those- who took'part in the programme' was proposed and carried with applause.
