Tho heaviest fish caught so far tlifs season in tho Manawatu weighed 51bs. The average weight of fish taken has been good. Tho Rangitikei is where the big rainbows are found. Since the opening, Messrs. Arery and Sutcliffe are reported to havo taken fifteen fino fish each —tlic heaviest 61bs., and the average Slbs. Six other fishermen in this river have had good catches.
