* SLOW RECRUITING IN WELLING. TON. Twelve additional recruits took tho oath' at the Town Hall Recruiting Office yesterday, and these included some previously registered men who had been called up for attestation under tho new system. Many additional recruits are required within the next few days if the city's quota for the Twenty-second Reinforcements is to bo filled by Tuesday next, the dato of mobilisation. Tho list of men at present available for this month's draft is nearly ono hundred short of requirements. Twenty-six men were examined at the Town Hall recruiting office yesterday, and of these twelve were" accepted and fourteen rejected. Tho total number of men accepted at the office since September 27 has been 446, of whom 332 have been accepted and 114 rejected. The high proportion of fit men is duo to the attestation of men previously registered and accepted under the old system. Of the accepted men, 163 are set down for the Twentysecond Reinforcements, 76 for the Twenty-third, 51 for tho Twenty-fourth, and 42 for other branches.
