: + : CASK BEFORE THE FULL COURT. r Before tho Full Court yesterday, argument was continued iu a caso which had been removed from Napier. An appeal was originally made to the Supremo Court, and by direction of Mr. justice Edwards was referred to tho Full Court for argument. On the bench were: Tho Chief Justice (Sir Robert Stout), Mr. Justice Edwards, Mr. Justice Cooper, Mr. Justice Chapman, and Mr. Justice Sim. The appeal was from a decision of Mr. S. E. M'Carthy, S.M., Napier, who convicted'' John Clingan Bryant, merchant, of Napier, for a broach of Section 195'0f the Licensing Aot. It \ros contended that the defendant Bryant committed a breach of the section referred to by assisting Warren, Smith, and Co. (holders of a wholesale license) to sell liquor at a place where they were not authorised by their license to do so, and Bryant was fined £20, with costs.

At the hearing of argument yesterday, Mr. C. P. Skerrett, K.C., with him Mr. TV'. C. Sproulo, of Napier, appeared for the appellant, and the Soli-citor-Gensral, Mr. J. W. Salmond, for the respondent. After hearing argument, the Court reserved decision. .
