The enemy recaptured one advanced position towards Monto Colbricon and Piccolo, but were repulsed elsewhere with heavy losses." CANADIAN CAVALRY IN ACTION SKIRMISHING PATROLS OUT. During the recent fighting east and north of Courcelettc, the Canadian oavalry for the first time participated in the war. Their patrols penetrated the enemy's territory to a depth of from 2000- to 2500 yards in different directions'.
