-. » ■ (Continued from Page 2) Marriage iii the Unitarian Church; The marriage took place in tho Unitarian Church yesterday-morning of Miss Emillie Macdonald, daughter!of' Mrs. J. Macdonald, The Terrace, to Mr. Frederick Strecter,'-: of tho 19th Iteinforcenients. The ceremony was performed by tho Rev.. C. Halo, and only relatives were present. The bride ~ was attended by her sister, Miss Hileen Macdonald, as bridesmaid, and her mother,gave her. away.. The best man was Mr. Cooke, and Mr. Dawson the groomsman. Later in the-day ■Mr. and Mrs. F. Strceter.:.left7for; the: lorth.. ' _ ■ . Presentation at Tauherenikau Camp. On Monday evening last Miss Mink Caldow, accompanied bv Miss W. Lons- • Alio and Miss Dora Varney, went to tho canvas camp at Tauherenikau to givo a concert to the 19th Reinforcements. Miss Caldow and party have given the 19th sis concerts sinco they have gono into camp. Consequently the~soldiers aro very grateful, and waxed most enthusiastic. During the evening,. Captain Baker, O.C. "B"Coy-i, - presented -tho ladies with •silver badges of the Reinforcement, and later on he-called upon; the stage Corporal LuKs, who always assists the party, and Miss 'Lonsdale, whose humorous songs and duets with the corporal are much-enjoyed features of the. 'concerts. Captain Baker congratulated them on their forthcoming mari riage, and on behalf of the officers and men of thS' 19ths, he '. presented Miss Lonsdale with a substantial purse of sovereigns, and hoped she would continue the good work she was - doing in helping to cheer'the soldiers. Corporal Luks modestly emphasised the-fact that the appreciation and en- - thusiasm of,;.the soldiers was sufficient reward for any singer, but ho felt sure that Miss Lonsdale would always retain a warm 6pot in her heart for the 19th Reinforcements.. Tho ladies wero afterwards entertained at the officers' ball at Featlierston Camp. ' The weekly entertainment at the Returned Soldiers' Club was held as usual last evening at the club, and thero was a good attendance of returned soldiers and their friends. Musio and dancing were the entertainment provided, and supper brought a very pleasant evening to a close.
