—7—-♦-ANNUAL MEETING. ; The annual meeting of flic astronomical section of the Wellington Philosophical Society was held last evening. Mr. C. G. G. Berry presided. Tho annual report, which was adopted, stated that there was a credit baranco of £29 9s. Od. Officers wore elected as follow:— Chairman, Mr. W. S. La Trobe; viceohairman, Mr. C. P. Powlcs, Professor D. M. Y. Sommerville, Dr. C. E. Adams; committee, Messrs. W. E. Spencor, M.A., G. Hogbon, M.A., F.G.S., E. Parry, B.Sc, M.1.E.E., A.M.1.C.E., and Gilford. M.A., F.R.A.S., Miss C. Hclycr, Dr. C. M. Rector, M.D., B.Sc, Captain G. Honker; director and curator of instruments, Dr. C. E. Adams, D.Sc, F.R.A.S.; treasurer, Mr. C. P. Powlcs j secretary, Mr. O. G. G. Berry. It was stated that the amount to the credit of the Solar Physic's Observatory Fund mi March 31 was £83 15s. 10(1.
