* WELLINGTON BOYS' LEAGUE. Mr. W. Walton presided over last evening's eleventh annual meeting of the Wellington Boys' Cricket League, and there were a fair number present. Tho annua report stated that' the competition for championship honours was very keen last season, and a noticeable feature was the line sporting spirit evinced by some of the teams, who, although badly beaten Saturday after Saturday, continued to turn out. The war liad caused much interference in the matches on account of so many extra- daylight parades, and some of the membors had also been called upon to take places at the forts. Praiso was due to the energetic president (Mr. Walton), who had managed to get a number of suburban teams to join tlio league. Teams had como from Pctone and tho Hutt, and last season tho teams numbered seven senior and 14 junior. It was fortunate that pitches had been secured on the different reserves,' and thanks were given, espepiall.v to tho Wellington City Council and the Hutt and Petone Councils. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £2 Gs. 9d. as against 12s. for the previous year.
