On account of having to undergo boiler repairs, tho Dcfonder, at present on the slip at Lyttelton, will not be able to leave Lyttelton until early next week, and is due hero on or about Wednesday. Tho New Zealand Shipping Company advise that their liner Kaikoura will, after leaving Auckland, proceed to Tokomaru Bay, Napier, and then Wellington, whero she is due about October 8. After discharging at Port Chalmers th© Kaituna,' which arrived at that, port on Wednesday, will go on the patent slip for survey and overhaul. Tho Wallseud is expected to arrive at Tauranga towards the end of tho week with general cargo. After discharge tho vessel will load timber for Sydney. The Wallsend is the first vessel to visit Tauranga direct with cargo for a number of years. , Tho Te Anau'arrived at Auckland yesterday, and it is hoped to get her away on the return journey to-morrow. She is coining to. Wolliivgtn direct, and is duo hero on Monday iiieht. The Warrlmoo sailed from Oama.ru for Timaru and Wellincton early yesterday morning, and it is hoped she will bo dispatched from TOmaru to-day. anil will arrive here on Saturday.
