CAMP NOTES
Lieut. A. M. Jameson has reported for duly at Featherston, and has been appointed provost-marshal. The fotnrdug temporary appointments have been approved by tho Camp Commandant at Trontham:—Pte. J.'Roavoy, 18th, M.R., to be shocingsmith corporal; Corpl. F. Valentine, N.Z.V.C., to be sergeant; Lcc.-Oorpl. F. S. Gray, E Coy., 17th, to be order-ly-room clerk; Pte. J. G. Smith, E Coy., 17th, to be lance-corporal; Ptes. J. Sturrock, C. A. Klink, A. D. Gunion, E Coy., 17th, to be lance-corpor-als; Gnr. P. G. White, 19th, N.Z.F.A. (Howitzer Battery), to be bombardier; Corpl. H. Southgato, A Coy., 17th, to be sergeant; Lce.-Corpl. TV. M. Rose, A Coy., 17th, to be corporal. Tho cup presented by the Camp Commandant at Featherston for the best-kept huts and lines has 'been awarded to the 20th, N.Z.F.A., for tho week ending September 23. Tho following temporary appointments are approved of by tho Camp Commandant at Trentham: — B Company, Twentieth Reinforce-' ments —Pte. J. B. P. L. Bonson, to be lance-corporal; Pto. N. L. Old Uncle Jacob was walking majestically up and down tho village street dressed in his Sunday suit. "Hallo, Uncle Jacob," cried one of his neighbours, "arc you haying a holiday?-' "Yes, I am," replied Uncle Jacob, proudly. "I'm celebrating my golden wedding."
