The Kakapo is to load during this week at Westport for Wellington. Site arrived in Now Plymouth on Friday from Newcastle. The Kamo leaves for Westport to-day, ■where sho will load coal for Port Chalmers. The Kamona, which arrived here yesterday evening from Groymouth, will leave for Greymouth to again load for Wellington ou Wednesday. Tho Rosamond, which is loading timber in Greymouth, is expected in Wellington on ■' Wednesday. Information was received from Messrs. A. S. Patcrson and Co. on Saturday that the American barque. Golden Gate left. San Francisco with a. full cargo of caso oil for New Zealand on September 11. As. this vessel made a -very good passage from the Pacific Coast to Auckland' a few months ago, she may be expected in Auckland in about five week's time, and after discharging at Auckland will come on to Wellington to finish unloading. She is commanded by Captain Burgess, and is of 2273 tons register, being one of the largest American, sailers seen in thcEe waters. ' j ' Consignees of New Zealand cargo aboard the ex-German steamer Adelaide will be interested in the latest cablegram.ln reference to the vessel's movements, received by the Sydney Chamber of Commerce:— "Adelaide expects complete machinery repairs to-morrow. Commander protests vessel unseaworthy without docking. This contention, cupported 'by Liverpool Salvage representative; both asree dock sliip without discharging sufficient. Have arranged with Admiralty vessel dock Simonstown about September 27: not available before." It is expected that the Hawcra will come off the slip to-day, and will sail for Patea on Tuesday, arriving back on Thursday. After a cruiee of some weeks round the northern lighthouses the Hinomoa arrived in .port at 10.30 o'clock on Saturday morning. Captain Bollons reports' that the trip has been uneventful, and fine weather was oxpericnceod most of the time. All the stores were landed at the lighthouses. He stated that the buoy iu the northern Wairoa River (Kaipara) had been successfully laid down 1 , and was now ready for the fixing of the light. ' This is to be a powerful automatic acetylene liglit, and Mr. Fraeer, the Government lighthouse expert, is shortly to visit the buoy to fix it. The Ngatoro, bound from Gisborne to Greymouth passed the Heads at 0.15 o'clock this morning.
