Is it honourable to the 60,000 or more brave.soldiers who have already left our shores, and generously responded to the call of. tho ' Empire? Is it just to the noble mothers and fathers of the gallant sons who have given their lives, that racing, trotting, and all other- branches of sport should tolerate and; encourago the shirkers and flackers : who are not playing' the game, and leaving tho best of our young manhood to fight for them?"—l am, etc., DISCOURAGE THE SHIRKER,
