o—■ SHOOTING AFFRAY IN A GARAGE. By Telegraph—Press Association, Auokland, September 21. John Brown, caretaker of a garage in the city,, was charged in tho Police Court to-day with attempting to murder a returned soldier named Francis Kelly on September 8. The case arose as a result of a shooting affray in the garage, in which Kelly was wounded. Kelly, and his companion on tho night in question, gave evidence for the prosecution, and accused pleaded not guilty, being committed for trial. Bail was allowed.
