KHANDALLAH DEBATING SOCIECY
+ At the weekly moeting of tho above society, held on Tuesday last, tha Journal was tho subject of the evening, when articles were rend by the following members: Mesdames C. Jones and A. J. Daniel, Miss Bitham', Messrs. K. Hobbs, J. M. Dale, C. Blackburne, A. E. Budd, W. Appleton. W. A. Patterson, E. Nees, J. H. Meadowcroft-, and C. Jones. All the articles were of an interesting character and many of them caused considerable discussion. At the next meeting of the society tho subject will bo a debate '"That all moneys required for war purposes should be raised by direct taxation, and not any by voluntary contributions."
