DEATH OF LIEUTENANT RAYMOND ASQUITH. 'Australian-New Zealand Cable Assooiotiou. London, September 18. Lieutenant Raymond Asquith, of the Grenadier Guards, son of the Rt. Hon. 11. H. Asquith, Premier of England, has been killed. ■ (Rec. Septombor 19, 5.40 p.m.) ■: , London, September 18. - Lieut. 'Raymond Asquith was killed on September 15. The Premier (Mr. Asquith) and Mrs. Rajinond Asquith have been the recipients of hundreds of messages of sympathy. Lieut. Raymond Asquith was ft most brilliant athlete, barrister, and scholar. At the outbreak of war he gave up a rich / practioo to take a commission in the Queen's Westminsters. Later he joined tho Grenadier Guards. \His only son was born' last April' [Lieutenant Raymond Asquith was born in November, 1878, was married in 1907.t0 the daughter of Sir John ■ Horner, K.C.V.0., and has tiro daughters. He was educated at Winchester Collego and Balliol College, Oxford, and was tho winner of several scholarships. He was president of tho Oxford Union,■ and was called to tho Bar, Inner Temple, in 1904. , He appeared as Junior Counsel'for Great Britain in the North Atlantio Fisheries arbitration case at The Hague in 1911;] N
