MOUNTED ANZACS IN ACTION ; London, September IS. An official message from Egypt stales: "A raobilo column composed of Anzao mounted men, artillery, and a camel corps left Bir-el-Ahd on the 6th with a viow to a reconnaissance upon tho enemy westward of El Arish. The column reached the Turkish position at' Bir-el-Mazar at dawn on September 17. After a sharp engagement wo-ponet.ra.ted the onomy's trenches at several points and inflicted considerable casualties, while our artillery shelled .tho camps. Tho attack apparently surpriseed the Turks. Our aircraft fired' on soveral parties, including Gorman officers, who wcro rapidly riding back to El Arish. TURKISH OFFICIAL COMMUNIQUE. (Rcc. September 19, 8.20 p.m.) Amsterdam, September 19. 'A Turkish official communique states:—"A division of the enemy's horsemen attempted to advance cast of Suoz, but was repelled."
