This list •■".was published in England some time ago, and copies.of it were received "by the Government in the. last English, mail. The list.is gazetted here by the instruction.;of." the Attorney-General of ■New Zealand. Sir. Herdman, replying to a question on the subject last night, gaid that anybody in New Zealand doing business.with any person, firm, , or company, whose nainie appears on the gazetted list is liable to prosecution for trading with the enemy. The list includes persons in nearly every'neutral country in. Europe, Asia, and America.
