THE LUOKENBACH LINE. An arrival at Auckland from New York, via Panama, on Thursday evening was the ILattio Luckenbach. She left. New York on August 3, and, after fine weather, cleared the Panama Canal on August, 14, arriving at the northern port 30 days later. The weather from the Canal to Auckland was fine until the last week, when heavy winds were met. Captain J. A. M'Donald, a Canadian, is in charge of the vessel, and he has with him:—Chief officer, Mr. A. A. Downey; second, Mr. T. Burke; third, Mr. H. A. fleshier; chief engineer, Mr. D. U. The Calm is due on Saturday from southern ports, and will sail for Wanganui after finishing here. Tho Kaituna, from Melbourne, via southern ports, is duo this morning, and has 850 tons of cargo to land. . Tho Ngatoro, which was in Napier yesterday, will return to Greymouth, via Wellington, to load for Oamaru. Tho Ngakuta leaves Wellington at 5 o'clock this evoning for Greymouth to load for Wellington. WIMMEEA TAKES UP RUNNING. The Wimmera, which has been undergoing extensive overhioul and survey at Melbourne, is expected to leavo Melbourne for Wellington direct on Saturday, September 23, and will bo duo here on September 28. Sho leaves again for Melbourne. via southern poTts, on September 30, and leaves Bluff finally on October 5 for Melbourne. Lieut. W. Watt, formerly third officer on the Takapuna in the Gisbornc-Napler run, who enlisted in tho Navy when the war started, and all last winter was navlmting ono of the <patrol vessels off tho English coast, has joined the naval air sorvicc, and at latest advioo was busy driving an aeroplane in tho North, of Scotland.
