REMAINING CHARGES WITHDRAWN. "The Levy case" was mentioned yesterday. When the seven remaining charges wero palled, Mr. P. S. K. Ma r cassey, who appeared for the Orown, stated that counsol for Levy had intimated that tho appeal against the conviction of Levy on the first of tho eight charges' had been abandoned. 'As the law had therefore been vindicated, the Crown did not gob sufficient reason for proceeding further with the information. Leave to withdraw tho remaining cases was . accordingly asked for. * The Magistrate said that he had no objection to that course being adopted, consequently tho seven other informations would be 1 allowed to be withdrawn.
