Mellsop, Eliott, and Co., Palmerston North, local agents) report oil the frozen meat market, under dato London July 21, as . follows :— Home-grown: A week, of warm weather has done much to curtail the demand, but supplies have been lighter than last week. The market is very tender, and the resumption of the shipments of Dutch mutton, which is expected very shortly, may have a marked effect on prices. Frozen: Lambs still in great request in ■ southern markets, but in Glasgow it is difficult to maintain their value, owinjj to competition with the Home-grown article. Mutton is slower, with a weaker tendency, but priccs not quotably lower. . Beef is a difficult sale, particularly tho plain bulls and cows, and Canadian boneless beef is a. drug on the market. _ Chilled beef recovered after a bad opening, and finishes firm.
