Duncan, nightwatohman on tho dredge, was run down by a shunting engine oil the wharf, 4nd was cut to picces. It is not known exactly how tho ' accident occurred. Duncan was not on duty that night. Deceased was 65 years old, and was for 30 year harbourmaster's coxswain. Ho leaves a • widow with a grown-up family.
