One or.two. of tho members regularly visit, the Victoria Hospital for Soldiers,, taking with them acceptable comforts; o'thors send parcels of home-mado cakes and sweets, with each transport of Reinforcements of soldiers; while some members are regular workers at tlio Town Hall. .The mombers of tho Sowing Guild, in chargo of Mesdames Plimmer and Bayfield, who meet at Mrs. Seville's house, aro doing good work, and have forwarded to England this .'month-two cases of sewn and knittod garments in aid of .the Naval Sailors'. dependants. An entertainment for tlio_ purpose of buying -wool and materials, for. this object was given by Mrs. 'Furkett and other mombers at her residence, which with other donations resulted in tho "sum of £8 12s. In addition, many contributions of useful, garments/were brought in by inlividual members, who have 'been , vorking hard. After finishing.' this ' rark it-is proposed to go on with tlio •egnlar Red Cross sewing. In.
