KHANDALLAH DEBATING SOCIETY
'At the weekly meeting of the Khandallah Debating Society, held on Tuesday evening, the subject was a debate, "That there should be State control of all industries and supplies of genoral utility during the war." The affirmative was taken by Messrs. J. H. Meadowcroft, A. E. Budd, E. Hobbs, J. H. Richardson, and Mrs. Page, while tho negative was supported by Mr. G. Burt, Miss Sunderland, Messrs. J. M. Dale, W. Appleton, and. E. Noes. On tho resolution being put to the meeting, the affirmative was carried by a substantial majority. ..The next meeting of the society will be devoted to tlie reading of the "Journal."
