MEETING OF THE ASSOCIATION. Tho Wellington Football Association met last ovening. Mr. A. Wells presided, awl there were present also Messrs. C. Webster, Thompson, W. Auld, A. Williams, Leadboater. and Yeoman. . It was decided that if tho Basin Reserve is available for September 23 the final for tho Henderson Memorial Cup (third class) shall he played in aid of the Soldiers' Christmas Gift Fund. Regarding the schools competition, it was arranged that Island Bay should meet Porirua on Saturday next at 10 a.m. at Duppa Street, Mr. A. Wells to referee. A lottor was read from tho Canterbury Association, stating that all ar-

rangoments bad been made for tho schools football to bo played at Christclmrcli on September 21, 22, and 23. Fixtures:—Duucdin v. Christclnirch, Thursday, Septorabor 21; Dunedut v. Wellington, September 22; Wellington v; Christcbufcu, September 23. The Wellington team will leave on Thursday, returning on Monday night. It is possiblo a game will bo arranged for Monday (Dominion Day)Mr. Salmon reported a supporter of the Wadestown Club for alleged misconduct on Anderson. Park. It was decided to write to ,tho Wadestown Club drawing their attention to same, and asking them to' use their endeavours to have a stop put to such conduct. SCHOOLS MATCH. On Monday last tho return gamo between the City and Country Association football teams was played at Porinia. By tlio kind permission of tho Hospital authorities the excellent hospital ground was lent to tlio boys, and a very.oven gamo resulted. Wellington scored two goals in tha first spell, both coming from Colomb. In tlio, second spell tho country boys made, several brilliant nislies, which resulted in a goal from Wi Neera. Wellington, 2; Country, 1. Tho gamo was very oven, and tliere was not much difference in tho play of tlio two teams. Half-way through the second spoil Colomb got away again, and scored once more. The Country boys rallied considerably, and Arthur scored again just beforo time, the game ending: Wellington, 3; Country, 2. For WellingtnrT Colomb and Griffiths in tlio forwards, and Jeffery in the backs, playod well, wbilo Wi Neera and H. Davis were prominent for tho Country. Mr. E. Mundloy was referee.
