PETONE TECHNICAL- SCHOOL
The monthly meeting of the Petone Technical School Board~"Tvas hold on . Tuesday, evening. Mr. J. G. Castle occupied the chair, and there were also present: Messrs. Cox, Forsyth, Jones, Burk, M'Ewan, M'Dougall, Burridge, Wakehani, Meldrum, Welch, and M'Kenzie. . '' - Messrs. Jones, Burk, and M'Dougall,' new members, were welcomed by the chairman. The resignation of Mr. W. Trueman from the board was accepted. A letter was read from the Government notifying the granting of free passes to returned soldiers attend'ing classes. The secretary was directed to thank the pupils of the secondary schools for' a donation of £5 given in consideration of their having the . use of , the school typewriters. Rc--ceipt of £20, a grant from the Lower / Hutt/'Borough Council, was acknowledged. Tlie bank balance was reported to 'be £260 Bs.
