MARNE BATTLE RE-FOUGHT
STRATEGY OF A GREAT COUP. (Router's Teleeram.) Paris, September 12. A correspondent, who was conducted; by a staff officer over the Marne battlefield, learned some interesting facts, clearing up many mysteries regarding Von Kluck's famous retreat. The officer detailed all tho moves, showing that tho retirement was not an accident, but was iu consequence of General Joffro's carefully planned tactics on a battle front which extended from Paris to Verdun. A million and a quarter troops were engaged on both sides, and tho fierce struggle swayed with fortunes so delicately balanced that General Gallieni's .8000 men sent from Paris in taxi-cabs assured the success of General Joffro's plans by wrecking the Germany strategy.
