YESTERDAY'S REPORT. Eight cases of cerebrospinal meuingitis°are under treatment in the camp hospitals at the present time, two at Trentham and sis at Featherston. This distribution does not mean necessardy that the disease is more prevalent at Featherston than at Trentham, since the troops' have been moved freely of late, and the method of infection i B not yet clearly understood. General Henderson, Director of Medical Services, stated yesterday that of the two cases of cerebro-spinal meningitis at Trentham, one showed no change, and the other was slightly worse. One new case of cerebro-spinal meningitis had been discovered at Featherston, added General Henderson. The patient was a member of G Company, Twentieth Reinforcements, and his condition was serious. Three of the earlier cases were reported to bo improving, while two others showed no change.
