EXCITEMENT AT GERMAN NAVAL BASE
' SENSATIONAL RUMOURS AT WILHELMSHAVEN. Australian-New Zealand Gable Association. London, September 11. A message from Copenhagen states that excitement was caused at Wilhelmshaven by sensational rumours that gTeat events wero imminent, necessitating the departure of oivilians from that town. ' The military authorities announced that there was no truth in the rumours, which are believed to have referred to an attempt to invade England.
