At the wool sales there was a largo and good selection of greasy orossbreds. and keeu bidding, yesterday's advance being fully maintained, and being sometimes in tho sellers' favour. The Department of Agriculture, Industries, and Commerce has received the following cablegram, ' dated September 5, from the High Commissioner for Now Zealand in regard to the London wool sales: —''The wool sales have "commenced with ft firm market and a good demand. Merino and fine crossbreds, all grades, are firm at- last, quotation. Medium and coarse crossbreds, all grades, are 3d. per lb. higher than last sales. Prospects are favourable. The total net quantity of New Zealand wool available' is 43,200 bales." 1 (Note: Tho - estimated values given by tho High Commissioner in his cablegram on the last wool sales are'as follows:—Fine crossbreds, all - grades.
