In the Magistrate's Court yesterday, the' Inspector of Awards. (Mr. G. H. Liglitfoot) proceeded against Miss A. 6. Williamson, of tho Egmont Private Hotel, to rccovcr a penalty of £10 (nominal) for a breach of tho Wellington Private Hotel Workers' Award for failing to allow one full day's holiday of 24 hours, in tho week ended August 5 to> two female employees. Mr. 11. F. O'Loary, who appeared for Miss Williamson, explained, that tlio girls received two'half-days-at-their, own request. It was purely a technical breach. Judgment was given ; for plaintiff for 20s. ■
