The Admiralty lias examined tlie remains of a Zeppelin's "mystery car," which was shot down in East- Anglia., tt is bclioved that a wiro was lowered, with an observer, within 300 yards of the ground, while the Zeppelin itself continued hidden in the clouds. The car was of aluminium, measured 7 feet by 5 feet, and included curtained windows, telephone, torches, and the latest scientific instruments for observing positions and distances. One thousand feet of aluminium wire was found. The observer entered by a sliding door, and lay on a mattress throughout his observations. The present gondola of a Zep< , pelin is quite different from the cara which were attachod to the earlier Zeppelins, in which the observer, in a basket, looked over the sido. A great crowd attended the funeral of the Zeppelin crow, and many of the police wcro present, fearing disturbances in view of the protests against the War Office according military honours. The funeral was of the utmost simplicity, with a short service, and the "Last Post" was sounded. There was no firing party. The crowds watched in silonce, unmoved. TWO SUPER-AIRSHIPS LOST.
