The "social" and dance organised by the Brooklyn Serenadera, and held at Brooklyn, was very successful, over 200 guests being present. The hall had been most effectively decorated by a number of ladies with palms, flags, and flowers. Between tho dances some of tho Sorenaders gave various items, Mr. L. Shaddick giving a clog dance and whistling, and songs were given by Messrs. M'Kinstry andF. Bird. Messrs. D. Duff, W. M'Kinstry, and A. Picket contributed a trio. Mr. C.
