. -4 — ANNUAL MEETING. The Brougham Hill Tennis Club hold its annual meeting last evening. Mr. G. N. Goldie presided. The report ami balance-sheet were read and adopted. • A welcome'was accorded to Mr. IT. "W; Thompson, tho first member of the club to return from Gallipoli. It was dcoided that the opening of the courts this year will be held on Saturday, September 30. The • election. of officers resulted as follows -.—President, the Hon. J. G. "VV. Aitken;- vice-presidents, Sir Kenneth' Douglas and Messrs. G. N. Goldie, J. Hunter, G. Winder, and G. H. HurleyManagement' Committee, Messrs. L. Roberts, W. Bennett, H. V. Howe, T. AVard, H. W. Thompson; representatives to Wellington Lawn Tennis Association, Messrs. Roberts and Instone; secretary, Mr. W. E. Howe; treasurer, Mr. J. H. B. Howe.
The singing of the National Anthem and three cheers for the King and the boys at the front closed the meeting, and members adjourned to supper.
